Property renovation services in Hertfordshire
This is a 19th century four bedroom detached property set in beautiful gardens. The new owner employed us to renovate the house.
We have recently completed a renovation to a four-bedroom house. This involved replastering, panelling, flooring, ceilings, electrics, bathrooms, reclaimed doors, painting and decorating and repairs to the roof. We project managed each stage and brought in specialist trades to undertake specific tasks, such as sand blasting wooden beams.
Find out more about the project below.
The sitting room/dining room: The dark wood panelling was removed and all the walls replastered. It was transformed into a bright functional space with light colours on the walls and new lighting. All the wooden beams were sand blasted to bring out their original light colours and then preserved with a quality Osmo wood preservative. The parquet floors were sanded down to bring out the original med oak colour.
Hallway and stairs: We transformed a dark and dingy area into a light, inviting entrance hall with beautiful grey floor tiles and wall panelling fitted throughout. The panelling and skirting was painted in a Slate V by Little Green, whilst the walls and ceiling were painted in a Slate II by Little Green.
Bathroom: We removed the old dated bathroom furniture, floors and wallpaper. We plastered the walls and ceiling and laid new floors with stylish grey tiles. We also installed new top of the range bathroom furniture throughout, including a shower.
Bedroom one: The wallpaper and built-in cupboards were removed, and the walls plastered. A large walk-in wardrobe was constructed. Panelling was installed behind the bed which, along with the skirting, was painted in Urban Grey while the walls and ceiling were painted in French Grey Pale, both by Little Green. The en suite bathroom was renovated and painted in Wood Ash by Little Green.
Bedroom two: The old built-in cupboards and wallpaper were removed, and the walls replastered. Bespoke wardrobes were fitted. New down lights installed. The skirting was painted in Dulux Jasmine White and the walls and ceiling were painted in French Grey Pale by Little Green. New oak flooring was installed along with a reclaimed oak door.
Bedroom three: The wallpaper and built-in cupboards were removed, and the walls plastered. Bespoke wardrobes were fitted. Panelling was installed behind the bed which, along with the skirting, was painted in Juniper Ash while the walls and ceiling were painted in Slated Lime, both by Little Green. New oak flooring was installed along with a reclaimed oak door and down lights.
Bedroom four: The old built-in cupboards and wallpaper were removed, and the walls replastered. Bespoke wardrobes were fitted. New down lights installed. The skirting was painted in Dulux Jasmine White and the walls and ceiling were painted in French Grey Pale by Little Green. New oak flooring was installed along with a reclaimed oak door.
